San Luis Burgers

A few weeks ago we had a poll on our Facebook page asking which of our delicious recipes you most wanted to see come out of the Lone Peak Bison recipe vault next, and since it was such a close call we decided to bring you both delicious recipes!

Our San Luis Burger recipe calls for Lone Peak Ground Bison and is a savory, a bit spicey and 100% delicious. The whole family is sure to ask for more when you serve these for dinner.

San Luis Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lone Peak Ground Bison
  • 1/4 large white onion - chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 4 brioche or sesame seed burger buns
  • olive oil - for cooking
  • favorite fixins' - for topping

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to a large bowl and mix until combined.

  2. Lightly form your bison burger mix into 4 3/4-1 inch thick patties of equal size.

  3. Preheat the grill to 400 F. Toast buns on grill about 2 mins and set aside.

  4. Brush grill with olive oil and then add burgers to the grill and cook about 2-3 minutes on each side. Then top your burgers with cheese so it can melt.

  5. Top your burgers with your favorite fixins' and serve.
